The Maria Valeria bridge crosses the river Danube linking Esztergom in Hungary with Parkany in Slovakia.The bridge was destroyed in 1944 during World War II, but reconstructed in 2001. Esztergom was the capital of Hungary from the 10th till the mid-13th century when King Béla IV of Hungary moved the royal seat to Buda. Its cathedral, Esztergom Basilica, is the largest church in Hungary and sits above the Danube and is visually stunning from the bridge or from Slovakia.

I originally produced birthday videos for my grandchildren using a simple duck glove puppet, made glasses, cape and neck decoration and created a character called Danny Duck who actually speaks. Using just a cheap smart phone and free software on my laptop the videos were too large to attach to emails. I created a Danny Duck YouTube channel so that I could email the links and a creative 'bug' was born. I bought photographic kit and eventually a DSLR camera for my newfound creative hobby. I took Danny and another glove puppet out 'on location' locally and even on holiday to Tunisia to make more videos and take photos for new projects and added the videos to YouTube.
